So, now what?

During my "spa day", they found a couple more polyps. Depending on what the biopsy shows, I might not have to have another spa day for THREE years! Whee.

On the "other" end of the spectrum, I have a rather large hiatal hernia that, apparently, could be the source of the Vitamin D deficiency as well as the anemia. I don't know how that occurs, and since I was coming out from under anesthetic, the dr. was not overly interested in explaining to me how it all fits together. I began babbling about an iron supplement I found that is absorbed in the stomach as opposed to the intestines and he literally just let me trail off . . .

What's funny about the hernia is that I do not have acid reflux. One would think that one described as large and potentially needing a surgical repair, I would be having a bad case of reflux.

Doctor recommendation: no more blood donation. O-o-o-kay. Not a fix. Oh, and take iron. Do men really understand what iron does to one's body? You know, the ones with the morning "shit, shower, and shave" mentality? No, they don't. Men have it way too easy.

Sorry, I gotta go. Got to round up my broccoli, Cream of Wheat (45% of the daily recommended iron dosage), and Absopur, as well as things to combat the dastardly effects of iron.

Oh, and other doctor? Yes, it was VENTRICULAR tachycardia. No, it was NOT SUPRAventricular tachycardia. Don't insult me. I know from whence I speak.
