OK, my whole reason for blogging tonight was to show off my new watermark for photos. However, I can't get it to work. I'll get it figured out. Just not tonight.
I missed out on my Sunday-before-school-starts-complete-and-utter-depression because I was so stressed about the classroom that I went to school at 7 in the morning and started working. I quit at 5:30 to do a new teacher dinner and talk about the tornado, then went back to school until 10:30.
But, I pulled it off. I cannot believe it. Don't open the closet in the classroom, though, as you'll be in danger of being crushed by the things stuffed in it. I will probably spend the rest of the school year looking for all the stuff I stashed.
Some walls are bare, I have to admit, but it's because I don't like the plain-Jane look of some of the English posters and have decided I need to jazz 'em up.
We met our students tonight. I think it's going to be a pretty good group. None of the parents seemed like they had a hidden agenda. They were relaxed and friendly.
So now, since I've taken my beloved Ambien, it's time to pull back the covers, put on the face mask, put in the TMJ splint, and close my eyes. You know, I have no clue what I look like when I go to sleep. The hose on the face mask isn't long enough for me to look in a mirror. I must be a sight!
